Day 30: Book that I’ve Re-read the Most Number of Times
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
My first Jane Austen was my mom’s copy of Pride and Prejudice. She had gotten it as a wedding gift from one of her cousins. I remember reading it at night during a thunder storm. I just couldn’t bear to put it down. My mom finally came into my room and had to tell me off because it was a school night! And there began my love for all things Austen and of course for Pride and Prejudice. I think I have re-read at least five times.
It is also one of those rare books whose TV adaptation I have also enjoyed very, very much. The 1995 BBC adaptation starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle was just superb! Talk about perfect casting! Makes me want to read Pride and Prejudice all over again.
