In the spirit of the Twitter Friday Follow, the Book Blogger Hop is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word!  This weekly BOOK PARTY is an awesome opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other, and generally just share our love of books!  It will also give blog readers a chance to find other book blogs to read!

This week’s Book Blogger Hop question is:

“What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?“

The genre of historical fiction and regency romances (à la Georgette Heyer). Most of my fellow readers seem to enjoy them but I just can’t get past the ‘romance’ factor. I cannot help but start rolling my eyes barely a page or two in to these kinds of books. Also, the recent spate of paranormal romance and YA lit at times makes me curious. I mean when I look at all the pretty looking blogs, discussing all those books with pretty looking covers with such genuine enthusiasm, I feel tempted to join the fun but again I can’t. The whole eye rolling syndrome strikes again!
