This week’s Booking Through Thursday asks:
“What’s your book with weather events? Hurricanes? Tornadoes? Blizzards? Real? Fiction? Doesn’t matter … weather comes up a lot in books, so there’s got to be a favorite somewhere, huh?”
Off the top of my head I remember the the chapter called Tempest (Chapter- LV) from David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. It has one of the most convincing portrayals of a storm that I’ve ever read. It was almost as if I could feel the wind rage and listen to it howling and taste the salt water of the sea! In my opinion, that was the best part of the book.
I remember that chapter! It was intense. Great answer.
Thanks! Overall, I am not really fond of David Copperfield even though Dickens is one of my favourite authors. This part I really loved though.
Wow, this sounds pretty interesting!!
Here’s mine
Thanks! 🙂
