This week’s Booking Through Thursday asks:
“Do you carry books with you when you’re out and about in the world?
And, do you ever try to hide the covers?”
Yes I do, especially ever since I have been compelled to ride the bus everyday. Because of my work I don’t get enough time to read nowadays. The bus ride gives me just the perfect opportunity to catch up on my reading. Now I can’t think of leaving home without a book! I feel kind of empty without my current read with me.
And no I don’t try to hide the covers. I myself am turned off by explicit or offensive covers. I never buy books with unpleasant covers. So, I don’t really need to hide the cover of my book from the prying eyes of my fellow passengers.
Just when traveling.
here’s mine:

I mostly sleep when I travel. I am not a good traveller.
I go around with books and I never put a cover over them. I read what I read and others can snear at me or cheer with me.
Oh yes it’s the same with me. I read what I read and I don’t care what the others think.
Most of the time the cover is not what they’d be thinking about at all. they would just be awed by the fact that I was reading a book at all (sad I know). At other times they would be awed by the fact that I was reading such a ‘big’ book. Case in point when I was recently reading Barchester Towers which is quite a chunkster.
