Teaser Tuesdays asks us to:
Grab our current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like our teaser!
Today’s teaser comes from A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. I am already in chapter three and so far finding it pretty interesting.
My Teaser:
“There seemed to be a mystifying universal conspiracy among textbook authors to make certain the material they dealt with never strayed too near the realm of the mildly interesting and was always at least a long-distance phone call from the frankly interesting.”
P. 22, A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Lol how true! Great teaser, makes me want to see what other words of wisdom I can get from this book!

Oh this book is full of quotable lines! I am finding more and more funny lines as I go along.
How true. I have seen the book and it looks like one I need to read. Here is mine.

I started to read it without really expecting anything from it. But I am enjoying it more than I thought I would.
That is certainly true — they do their best to make things dull, don’t they?
Here’s my teaser!
Yeah, I think it’s especially true for scientific textbooks.
Ha-ha…I like that one! I think I’ve read a few of those textbooks….

MY TT POST and

Thankfully most of my textbooks seemed fairly interesting to me. Otherwise learning stuff off a book is such a pain!
I’ve never read any Bill Bryson…
Here’s my Teaser Tuesday post. 🙂
This is my first Bill Bryson book. I am liking his style so far.
Love the teaser. I need to get back into participating now that I am settled after my move. Hopefully next week.
Thanks! Hope you’d be back to participating on TT soon!
