This week’s Musing Mondays from Should Be Reading asks…
“What is/are the first book(s) you’re reading for the new year?”
I have started on A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare. It’s a small looking volume but I am a bit apprehensive nevertheless.
Out of all the Shakespeare I’ve read (whether it was on my own or in school), A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one that I’ve somehow managed to skip over.
My MM!
Me too. This is my first time reading A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I have read other plays by Shakespeare but not this.
It’s my second favorite Shakespeare comedy! (Much Ado about Nothing is my first).

I have seen adaptations of both Much Ado about Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I think I liked A Midsummer Night’s Dream more because I have seen two different adaptations of it and both were good. Now let’s see how much I like reading the original text of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 🙂
