Tune in Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger at GReads that showcases music. It helps bring attention to new and/or old songs or artists.
This Tuesday’s Tune: “Fluorescent Adolescent” by Arctic Monkeys
‘Fluorescent Adolescent’ is one of those songs that hides darkness under a peppy tune. The song talks of boredom, getting older, settling down and looking back towards a more exciting time.
“The best you ever had
Is just a memory and those dreams
Not as daft as they seem
My love when you dream them up…”
I never get tired of listening to this. One of the Arctic Monkeys best. The video is weird though. It’s kind of violent for one and what have clowns got to do with anything?
Lyrics by: Alex Turner and Johanna Bennett.
Hey there,
Arctic Monkeys are awesome. Nothing else to say.
Hope you have a great one,

Hello! Hope you’re having a great week!
Whoa! I had never seen the music video for this song! Thanks for sharing :]
The music video is so strange. I don’t think it suits the song at all but I guess it at least grabs our attention.
Cam I tell you how much I love this post? This is the first time I have ever visited your blog but if you knew me you would know I am one of the biggest AM fans around. They usually dominate my Tuned in Tuesdays with great music and concert pictures! Thank you for putting a great big smile on my face this morning!!
Yes I have visited your blog. I know you are a huge Arctic Monkeys fan. You’ve actually made me want to check out more of their music. So thanks! 🙂
