This week’s Musing Mondays from Should Be Reading asks…
“This week’s musing asks…
What book do you wish you were reading right now? Where would you take it to, if you could go anywhere to read for a while?“
I wish I were re-reading Wuthering Heights right now.
I would take it to where the book is set, the Yorkshire Moors.
It would have to be a rainy or at least a cloudy day. The gloom of the weather and Heathcliff and Cathy’s doomed love would suit my current mood.
Funny you should ask, Willow. I was just thinking that it’s been a while since I reread two Agatha Christie books I’ve been thinking about (for whatever reason) – MURDER IS EASY and AFTER THE FUNERAL.
A nice cup of tea and a biscuit or two would, of course accompany my reading. 🙂
What a wonderful, wonderful atmosphere for Wuthering Heights!
Thanks!
This is my fantasy. It’s true that one cannot have everything one wants. I know that this dream may never come true either but that doesn’t mean I’ll stop dreaming, does it?
excellent choice! I am totally feelin’ it!
Thanks! 🙂
Great reading choice! Outside with a wonderful view is definitely my kind of reading location too! 🙂

Sorry couldn’t comment on your blog as I’m still having issues with Blogger blogs that use OpenID and word verification. Your daughter is so cute! Glad that she loves playing outside.
O how romantic sounding. Here’s my MM I still haven’t read the book but know it well enough that I might as well have already lol.
It is, isn’t it?
Sorry couldn’t comment on your blog as I’m still having issues with Blogger blogs that use OpenID and word verification. Your reading scenario sounds so relaxing!
I still haven’t read Wuthering Heights yet – I really should get onto it! Here’s my musing: http://danielleheartsbooks.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/musing-mondays-4.html
I would whole heartedly recommend Wuthering Heights! A lot of people find faults with it but they just don’t get the time and the context of the book, IMO.
This is a really interesting post…and I gotta ask why ‘doomed love’ suits your current mood(!) I hope nothing bad is going on and it is just typical ‘rainy days and Mondays…’
Thanks! Well, I actually like rainy days. Mondays aren’t that bad either. So, you can guess the rest.
*smiling* ohhhh man now I have a bunch of books I want to read! Love Wuthering Heights! Here is my first MM http://cabingoddess.com/2012/03/musings-monday-march-12/
I love Wuthering Heights too! Guess where my blogging name comes from? 😉
