Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:
“Mrs Bantry reflected a minute and then applied an urgent conjugal elbow to her sleeping spouse.
‘Arthur, Arthur, wake up.’
Colonel Bantry grunted, muttered and rolled over on his side.
‘Wake up, Arthur. Did you hear what she said?’
‘Very likely,’ said Colonel Bantry indistinctly. ‘I quite agree with you, Dolly,’ and promptly went to sleep again.”
~ “The Body in the Library” by Agatha Christie.
All of her books are fun. I like to re-read them. Here is mine.
TT
I have re-read each of her books many times but the Miss Marple ones are on my perennial re-reads list. Whenever I feel down I turn to them.
Cute teaser. It might be time to read some Christie again. My teasers are from A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster and Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally. Happy reading!
Hello! Thanks for dropping by my blog! Sorry I couldn’t comment on your blog as I’m still having issues with OpenID and word verification on Blogger.
Hope you read some Christie soon.
That’s a good teaser, funny, too.

Intriguing teaser. Thanks for sharing!
I like the “conjugal elbow” descriptor. And what a typical husband’s response!
Thanks for sharing….and here’s MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
The ‘conjugal elbow’ is what caught my attention too. And the Colonel’s response to his wife is so typical and hilarious!
Great teaser 🙂 I haven’t read Agatha Christie for years either…will have to remedy that! Thanks for sharing. Here’s my TT http://pamelasbookspot.blogspot.com.au/2012/04/teaser-tuesday-snow-child.html

I have heard of The Snow Child. It seems interesting. Thanks for sharing!
OMG I REMEMBER that scene! I LOVE Agatha Christie! My fiance and I were just discussing that we should try to find one neither of us has read and see who solves it first!!
Mine is not live till 7 AM Eastern but here is my Teaser Tuesdays Post (with the funnest book I have read in the last few months)
I love Agatha Christie too. Searching for a Christie book neither of you have read before and trying to solve the mystery sounds like fun. Hope you get around to doing it soon!
Too funny! You chose a great teaser. I think most husbands have learned to agree with their wives when awakened from a sound sleep.
Here’s mine: Sandy’s Teaser
“I think most husbands have learned to agree with their wives when awakened from a sound sleep.”
True!
I must catch up on Agatha books. I use to read her early writings as a teen.

I started on Agatha Christie as a teen too. She has been one of my favourites since then.
Obviously some fantastic teaser lines, they couldn’t be anything else when they come from the pen of Agatha Christie!
Have a good week and enjoy your book
Yvonne
Thanks! No one writes like Dame Agatha!
It’s been a long time since I’ve read Agatha Christie. You made me want to go grab one of her books from my library 🙂
Here’s my teaser for this week: http://witandsin.blogspot.com/2012/04/teaser-tuesday-karma-by-carly-phillips.html

I read at least one Agatha Christie in every few months. I’m glad I made you want to read her books. 🙂
