Tune in Tuesday {12}: Shuffle

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger at GReads that showcases music. It  helps bring attention to new and/or old songs or artists.

Tune in Tuesday Random Playlists Special Edition: Open up your music library (iTunes?) and pick a song at random from your collection to feature with us.  The choice can be as eclectic as you want it to be!  Share one song, or share a couple songs.  Feature your random mixes with us all month long.

This Tuesday’s Tune: Just as Ginger did I put my music library on shuffle and this are the first 5 songs that got played

 1. “Somebody’s Baby  by Phantom Planet

I don’t really like Jackson Browne’s original from the soundtrack of Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), though I love the movie. This cover of Somebody’s baby from another soundtrack, Not Another Teen Movie (2001), is one of my favourites by Phantom Planet.

2. “Always  by Frank Sinatra

Ah another favourite! I am not much of a Frank Sinatra fan but Always is just incredible! I first heard it on the TV show Cold Case, in an episode titled Worlds End. That episode touched my heart and so did this song.

3. “A Time for Us (Love theme from Romeo and Juliet)  by Henry Mancini

Interesting. I haven’t listened to this in a while though I do love it.

4. “Movin’ Away  by My Morning Jacket

I haven’t listened to this song for ages!

5. “We are Young  by fun.

Fun is the word for it! I find myself humming We are young quite often.

    1. I love Phantom Planet! They are on my most played list along with classics like The Beatles & The Zombies and more modern ones like Weezer, Maroon 5 & Arctic Monkeys.
