This Tuesday’s Tune: “This Boy  by The Beatles

Ah The Beatles! Nothing in my world comes even close to them.  I have almost their entire song collection and there are innumerable favourites. But I couldn’t have been happier when this popped up. This Boy just melts my heart! The intensity of John’s vocals, the pain, the frustration and the plea flowing through the lyrics, the lovely tune, it is all perfect.

Here are two videos for it. The first one is an appearance they made of The Ed Sullivan Show.

The second one is the 2009 digitally remastered version.

    1. Mine too! There are so many Beatles song that I love that I’d be hard pressed to pick just one but This Boy comes pretty close.

Oh lucky you! The original Meet the Beatles album! All my parents have are stuff like Lobo, John Denver, The Carpenters, ABBA; etc. Basically standard 70’s albums.

  2. Really, can you ever go wrong with The Beatles? Answer: absolutely not. Heehee. Wonderful post! Thanks for sharing!
