Tune in Tuesday {18}: No Surprises

Tune in Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger at GReads that showcases music. It  helps bring attention to new and/or old songs or artists.

This Tuesday’s Tune: “No Surprises  by Radiohead

I have quite a few favourites by Radiohead. No Surprises is not my most favourite but the lyrics cut like a knife. ‘Cause they are so true. So very, very true.

“A heart that’s full up like a landfill

A job that slowly kills you

Bruises that won’t heal

You look so tired and unhappy…

I’ll take a quiet life

A handshake of carbon monoxide…

No alarms and no surprises (let me out of here)

No alarms and no surprises (let me out of here)

No alarms and no surprises please (let me out of here)”

Lyrics by Radiohead

    1. This is one of my favourites too, especially from their seminal 1997 album OK Computer! I was way too young when it originally came out but now as an adult I understand and appreciate it far better.
