This week’s Booking Through Thursday asks:
“Who taught you to read?“
It was my mom. My memory is kind of hazy because I learned to read kind of early. But I do remember my mom reading really colourful fairytale books to me. There were four among them that I really loved, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Thumbelina. I would make her read those again and again. As far as I remember it is from those books that I first became familiar with the different alphabets, words, their pronunciations; etc. Soon I was reading on my own.
I read at a young age, always surrounded by books!

I started young too.
That’s great, a good way to start.

Thanks! 🙂
I really can’t remember. Here’s my BTT
Yes even I can barely remember. Most of my early memories come from my mom’s tales!
My dad used to read to me as well and I would beg him to continue! Sometimes I made him read for more than 2 hours! XD Thanks for sharing!

From my 2nd birthday to my 5th one, my dad was busy studying for his master’s degree. So, he had no time to read to me. 😦
Aww..that’s great..well my Mum can’t read so I got all the help from school.
My BTT here
Maybe you can teach her now that you are a grown up.
Oh! that is such a sweet story. Cinderella was my favorite fairy tales, and to this day, if I notice a book based on the Cinderella story I think I have to read it. I love a ‘they lived happily ever after’ ending.
Thanks! My favourite fairy tale is Sleeping Beauty. I especially love the animated Disney version of it.
