Today’s sentence comes from The Old Man in the Corner by Baroness Orczy.
“ ‘Mr. Errington?’ asked the coroner casually. ‘Who is Mr. Errington?’
But this Emma found difficult to explain. Mr. Errington was – Mr. Errington, that’s all.”
Wonder who he is? I read an interesting mystery story featuring the old man in the corner in an anthology.
That’s how I first got to know about ‘the old man in the corner’ stories too, through an anthology. I do love mystery anthologies!
I wonder who he is now too….
Glad my ‘Friday 56’ has manged to intrigue you!
A very curious snippet…leaves me wondering. Thanks for sharing.

You’re welcome!
Hhhmm, now I am wondering who Mr. Errington is. But Emma is right, some people are simply impossible to explain! Thanks for sharing 🙂

Poor Emma! Being in a courtroom and describing her dead employer’s friends is too much for a ‘respectable’ young lady from the late Victorian era! 🙂
