Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Today’s teaser is from my recently finished read, Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.
My Teaser:
“Well, there are all kinds of men, his most damning phrase, the second half left unsaid, and you are the wrong kind.”
~ “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn
Great Teaser – need to pick this book up!
My TT is at http://bookswritingtea.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/teaser-tuesdays-september-4th/
Laura 🙂
Thanks! Hope you like it when you read it!
I heard this book was really good and I want to read it. I was puttingnew books on my shelf and I found it sitting on my shelf! I had completely forgotten that I had an ARC version. I’m a dork. Here’s my teaser: http://whatsontheshelf.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/teaser-tuesday-25/
Oh no you’re not a dork! Glad you have a ARC copy of one of the most coveted books of recent times! Hope you enjoy it!
Fantastic teaser. I’ve heard so much about Gone Girl, and can’t quite believe I haven’t read it yet. My TT is HERE.
Oh yes Gone Girl is one of the most hyped books around the blogosphere. I can’t believe I have read it because I’m never the one to read a ‘hyped’ book! 😉
I hope you enjoy the read, thanks for sharing your teaser!
Here is my TT for this week:

I did enjoy Gone Girl to a certain extent. It was a mostly okay read for me.
I must read this one. I won a copy so as soon as I can fit it in its getting devoured
Great that you won a copy of Gone Girl! This is one of the most coveted books of today.
I have seen this title on people’s ‘best of’ lists – intriguing teaser – enjoy!
That’s how I found out about Gone Girl too, by looking at other people’s lists. Most of the lists have nothing that interests me (being the classics geek that I am). But sometimes one or two titles manage to catch my eye.
Sometimes what isn’t said comes across as loud as the words that have been spoken! I’ve heard a lot about this book but I haven’t read it yet. You chose a great teaser.
My teaser is from A LOT LIKE A LADY.
Yeah those kinds of unspoken words always make me feel uncomfortable. I keep wondering whether it was all in my head or did the person really say what I thought s/he said.
