Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teaser:
“Our fellow-citizens, as they now realized, had never thought that our little town might be a place particularly chosen as one where rats die in the sun and concierges perish from peculiar illnesses.”
~ P. 20, “The Plague” by Albert Camus
Are you enjoying this book? I love this teaser, but hesitate because I always assumed Camus is not at all “light” reading.
My TT this week is from The Raven Boys.
Yes to a certain extent. It is definitely not a light read. I’m trying to get all the small nuances of the plot and understand everything but it’s difficult and slow.
Sounds like a sad read.

It is a difficult read, that’s for sure.
A classic, which I’ve somehow never read! I’m adding it to my “should read” list.
My teaser is from CONFESSIONS OF A CORPORATE SLUT.
Yes The Plague is a ‘should read’ classic.
This one sounds like a good one…I’d have to be in the right frame of mind, though.
Here’s MY TUESDAY MEMES POST
You’re right. One does have to be in the right frame of mind. I’m finding it hard to read the book when I’m tired or distracted.
I haven’t read this, but you’re the second person I’ve seen reading this lately. Here’s Mine
“…but you’re the second person I’ve seen reading this lately.”
Really? I’m actually surprised that someone else is reading The Plague. It’s rare to find people who read classics like it. 🙂
