Today’s sentence comes from Framley Parsonage by Anthony Trollope.
“The poor lecturer, as he seated himself, made some remark such as those he had been making for the last two days-for out of a full heart the mouth speaketh. But he spoke to an impatient listener. ‘D— the South Sea Islanders,’ said Mr. Sowerby. ‘You’ll have it all your own way in a few minutes, like a bull in a china-shop; but for Heaven’s sake let us have a little peace till that time comes.’ “
For some reason I stifled a laugh….
🙂
Very curious. The lecturer might be a bit pompous…lol

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
I don’t know whether to feel sorry for the lecturer or the listener. It is terrible when no one listens, but some people really need to shut up once in a while! Hop on over to my Friday Post if you have the time! Hope you have a great weekend!
