30 Day Book Challenge

Day 13: Favourite Non-Fiction Book

Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss.

I’m not a big non-fiction reader. I do enjoy my occasional foray in to the realm of non-fiction but I have very few favourites.

Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss I found to be quite entertaining.  The examples regarding the misuse or the lack of punctuation marks were often hilarious. I laughed out loud several times. The examples not only make it easier to understand the complexities of punctuation marks but also help liven up the rather dreary landscape of the realm of grammar.

To some Lynn Truss may seem a little too extreme but I think she is just passionate about punctuation. I enjoyed her writing and understood her concern.

I enjoyed reading the book and even managed to learn a thing or two about punctuation marks in the process. Who knew grammar could be fun?
