Teaser Tuesdays asks us to:
Grab our current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like our teaser!
My Teaser:
” ‘I should just like to see anybody dare to write my name up with a boy’s. Not, of course,’ she hastened to add, ‘that anybody would.’
Anne sighed. She didn’t want her name written up. But it was a little humiliating to know that there was no danger of it.”
p. 93, Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Have you read this one before? What a special treat. I love her. I recognized your teaser about 12 words in. 🙂 Enjoy!
This is the first time I am reading Anne of Green Gables. I don’t much like Anne’s flowery speeches. I get a bit exasperated by her chatter. But overall the story, interactions between all the children and all of their very ‘serious’ problems, their view of the adult world, I am liking.
who doesn’t love Anne? (with an E) such a great series!
Errr…I haven’t really taken a shine to Anne. I actually contemplated giving the book up after the first 50 or so pages because of her. But I’m liking the story much better now.
This is a nice one 🙂
I want to re read Anne of green gables sometime.
Hope you enjoying it
I am enjoying the story and all of the trials and tribulations of young adult life. 🙂
